My ideal job

 

Hello again,

It is common for my family to ask me: Sebastián, what would you like to work on?

It's in that moment when I remain silent for a few seconds and answer the socially correct thing: I laugh, because I have not determined it well.

However, what I do know is that I would like to contribute from my geography studies to the people who live in rural places. In this way, I have skills in planning urban structures that allow local development free of segregation and inequality. Also, it would be ideal to obtain a salary that allows me to support investigations and actual actions that go beyond investigation. This is, probably taking charge of the planning or housing department of a municipality, or being an ambassador of an university that work direclty with the territory.

That is what would make me "happy." In this sense, living in a place related to the countryside, nearby the sea and in direct contact with people issues and problems,  would make not to me necessary to undertake constant trips for practicing, or travel to understand the operation of other places that can contribute a my idea. For me, the job I would like to do, should be in the place where I live, and from there, it is very important to me to contribute in the place where I grew up, where also, I owe my skills.
